tankless water heater

Tankless Water Heaters

A normal water heater is used to heat water all day, every day, which heightens your electricity bill. A tankless water heater keeps the water hot only as you need it, preventing unaffordable energy expenses. Call (972) 424-2929 for more details on Tankless Water Heaters.

boilers

Boilers

A professional technician should be hired when dealing with boilers. Consideration needs to be given to many aspects of the installation of new and replacement boilers. Among the most important are ventilation and flueing. Ventilation requirements depend on many factors. Different installations require different amounts of ventilation. It is essential that the correct ventilation be provided. The flue from a boiler and especially its termination are also important considerations. Many restrictions apply as to exactly where a flue can terminate.

We service ALL makes and models.

Plumbing Maintenance Program

“An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.”

This is especially true when you are busy trying to run a business. Preventative Maintenance is the key to keeping your business running smoothly and saving money. LCS provides its customers with a viable solution by way of our No Cost, No Obligation Preventative Maintenance Program.

Preventative Maintenance Agreements (PMAs) are agreements between building owners, managers, or facilities managers and Lawton Commercial Services for scheduled inspections and maintenance of your plumbing systems. Below are but a few of the benefits of having a PMA:

Proper maintenance prolongs the life of plumbing systems and equipment.

PMA customers receive priority service.

Fewer breakdowns.

10% discount on repairs.

One of our professionals will make a free site survey, assess the site, prepare a proposal, then visit with the person or persons overseeing the facilities. In most cases, PMAs are scheduled quarterly; however, Lawton can customize to fit any business needs such as monthly or semi-annual visits.

Commercial Plumbing FAQ

What is a fiber-optic pipeline video inspection?

A fiber-optic pipeline video inspection is a diagnostic process whereby a high-resolution fiber-optic video camera is inserted in a pipeline to view the pipe from the inside. It takes the guesswork out of diagnosing a pipeline problem and can pinpoint exactly where a problem is and exactly how to fix it in the most cost-effective manner. LCS has several of these cameras and qualified technicians to run them.

What is high pressure pipe jetting?

This is the most effective method of completely cleaning the inside of a pipeline. Water is pumped through a nozzle at up to 4,000 psi to actually scour the inside of a pipe, thereby removing roots, scale, grease, dirt and other obstructions.

How can I tell if I have a slab leak?

If you’ve checked the above items and found no leaks, you should check your water meter. This will usually be found in the front yard and will usually appear as a concrete or metal rectangular lid at a grade level. Open the lid and locate the meter inside. This may require removing some dirt to access the face. With no water running at the facility (dishwashers, laundry, toilet, refilling, etc.), check the dial face for any movement. Many meters have a “leak detector” which appears as a small black triangle or a small white wheel. If this is spinning or there is any movement on the dial, this indicates a leak in your water pipe system.

What is a repipe?

A repipe is a complete replacement of the incoming fresh water system in a home or business from the water meter or well to all plumbing fixtures. As severe as it sounds it is actually a very common procedure. It is necessary in situations where the plumbing pipes have begun to leak due to deterioration, or when low pressure due to calcification is present in pipes.

At what temperature should I set my water heater?

Manufacturers recommend setting water heaters at 120° degrees (F). This will prevent accidental scaldings.

Should I use a caustic drain cleaner before calling a plumber?

We do not recommend EVER putting caustic drain cleaners in drains. If a drain is running slowly you may use a biological product to help clear it. We recommend BIOOne. Use according to directions. If it is completely stopped up we recommend you call a professional to unclog your line. Pouring caustic solutions into drains can ruin pipes and cause severe burns to anyone working in the drain after application.

What are my payment options?

New customers are given the option of paying with either Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Checks, or Money Orders. Repeat customers in good standing are offered a “30 Net” option..
